How easy is it to change your mind?
What does it take for you to change your mind?
We all have the ability to change our minds.
Why does having the right attitude towards our faith seem to be important? Because we need a solid foundation of Jesus Christ to make us stronger and grow our faith.
Satan’s strategy is to tell us lies. He wants to shape our minds according to the narrative of the culture, to believe his lies.
I urge you—Paul is begging us to change our minds
Who is he speaking to? Christ-followers
1. What does our worship look like? The moment we become a child of God we are changed completely. We become a new creation. The heart of Paul’s appeal is to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice. With a sacrifice, there is no way to go half-way. You can just do enough to get by. God expects all of you—a total commitment. Are you all in?
2. How do I live this out? We know that God wants all of us, but what does it mean today? It means we need to change our minds. Don’t be conformed to this world—to behave like everyone else, to be shaped like everyone else. We are to be different. The world around us weighs us down, so we need to take action to keep the world from shaping our minds. We are to be different. Our culture tells to live for Christ privately, to be yourself, to live your own life. So to keep our minds from being molded we must be changed in our minds. This is done by the Holy Spirit as we can’t do this on our own. God’s Spirit can cause a metamorphosis in us that allows us to do God’s will as opposed to being fooled by the lies of Satan and this world.
God, change my mind daily.
