Series: Who Told You That? and the Lies We Believe Week 7: The Lie—Let Go & Let God
The lie: “You need to let go and let God.” Genesis 3:5
Why is this so appealing?
THE 1st PROBLEM: IT PROMISES A SUPER‑CHRISTIANITY THAT DOES NOT EXIST.
The devil loves this lie because it creates division.
It promises a super‑Christianity that is impossible.
THE 2nd PROBLEM: IT PRESENTS A WEAK, UNBIBLICAL VIEW OF GOD.
Jeremiah 32:27.
The devil loves this lie because it shrinks God.
It portrays a weak, unbiblical God.
THE 3rd PROBLEM: IT PROMOTES PASSIVITY—A FORM OF ANTINOMIANISM. Antinomianism = “against God’s law.”
